3 years ago. Save. My experience with smartfares.com is that it is just not worth your time. I booked a flight with them flying from Singapore to Cambodia. The reservation was easy enough and they responded quickly with an email acknowledgement of the reservation stating that a confirmation will follow within 24 hours.
They will offer a deeply discounted airfare and send you a confirmation number to your email. The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price.

Everything I'm seeing online about SmartFares is that it's a scam--that it doesn't show live prices, and when you book with them the confirmation email they send you is their own internal one with a custom confirmation code instead of the airline's code. Smartfares is a very unreliable business. I made a reservation wiht them, they even charged my credit card just to come back after 12 hours telling me that price has gone up and unless I pay more, they can not get the ticket for me.
